The Burnside Project is the first “renegade DIY” concrete skatepark ever built, & the first one to become legalized. Burnside has its own 501(c)(3) status & board of directors, but SPS maintains a good working relationship with the Burnside community & offers assistance whenever possible, including during the process of replacing the Burnside Bridge itself.
